im looking to do the inside of my truck with tweed and this snake skin stuff i got online and was wondering how big of a deal it would be for a do it yourself project.. i own a 96 s-10 and just wanted some feed back for my sake and others from people who have taken this project head on themselves... well the door panels dont look that hard, but its the dash that scares the crap out of me.,. just taking it off for one then getting the tweed perfect around the big curve by the glove box..i really need it done because its all cracked and dirty..like a picnic table or something, well i guess its just the 3m glue and staples for supplies right?? well im new to this and any help would be cool.. maybe there are some sites with the dummy's guide to tweed or something....idk ..oh and the seats.. hmmm, is that better left for the pros?? i mean i really dont feel like sitting on some buckets because i screwed up on my seats beyond repair..does tweed tend to fade?? is it easy to clean and maintain?? well if you feel like it spilling your little heart out, do, any thing would be helpful, im sure it will all be valued by me and maybe others...who knows, thanks

NO, i do not feel like spilling my little heart out... BUT,1) I would think that you would need to repair the F'ed up areas of the dash or the imperfections will show right through and look shitty.2) Doors should be fairly simple, good and tight, but not stretched or it may shrink! [doors would be a good place to start/parctice]3) I have seen many seats that look loose or baggy and that would be from amatuerville. First they look like shyt, Second they will definatly wear/rip prematurely[sp?] I think seats are pretty simple though. Take your covers off and cut them apart. Use them as templates to trace the shapes onto your new fabric. Sew together. I am oversimplifing a bit. - Leave fabric around the patterns to sew - note stretched areas and loose areas on the old seat and compensate on the new ones - DO NOT put shag on your headliner!

Other peeps can probably help you out on what Glues to use and what not to use??? And there is some kind of foam you can use to build your seat pads back up and recarve them??? On fixin the dash, duct tape, fiberglass???? idk

Good Luck, Do That Shit Up !!!
