ive got a 89 crew cab i ton thats in mansfield bein bagged and i was wonderin what all had to be done to the rear to make it lay on 24's? as far as how much to cut the bed? and can it be bodydropped on 24's?
as long as your notch is big enough, and has some type of link setup, it'll lay on the 24's, and yes you can bodydrop it on the 24's. check out some of the the older topics and you'll find pics and more answers....
Yes this is possible and you will need to cut the inside of the bed all of the way up to the lower lip on the bed rails and your wheel will be 1/4" away from that. The dually fenders will need to be raised and widened if you don't narrow your rear end. Big notch and some bags and your ready to go.
You really need to swap your rearend to a dually rearend. I use the old p-30 rearend out of 80s model Chevy Bread and Box trucks they work great. If you shorten the reaend you have I am going to guess around 7-8 inches in all.
