SCHOOL!!! You'll make way more money than that when you get out. Its worth the wait. I made the mistake of working but eventually I went back and I'm very glad I did.

13 an hour is shit, go to school, i finsihed up a bachelors degree in video game art and design/ animation and i dont use it currently because im makin money doing other things but its nice to know i can alsways get a job starttin at 60k a year if i have to, so go to school, it takes longer to actually see the results but when you see them theya re sweeter than if you didnt go.; good luck, i would go for sure.

no pun taken NO1LOWR , i understand completely, thats why i said what i said. to give him an example of someone who doesnt/hasnt gone to school. its not that i dont like school, just dont know what i want to go to school for. so i dont want to waste my time and money until i figure out what the hell i wanna do in life.

Well, my job kinda fell through so I said fuck it and went back to school. And what your pops said is wrong. I graduated high school, went to air force for a little while worked in a factory for 2 years and then decided to go back to college. That lasted about 2-3 years and then went to work for the next 9 years and now i quit that job and now back in school once again. So taking some time off doesn't hurt a thing. It's what makes you happy. Try taking the job and then see if you can take at least 1 or 2 classes.

I was in the same boat as you. I went to school part time and worked full time because I got a pretty decent job right out of high school. I was a meat cutter started out making 12.50 (this was in 95). Problem is you have to look at top out pay for your job. After two years I was topped out at 16/hr, thats barely 30k a year, not bad but not going to get you a lot of extras in life. Than again my brother is a hs dropout but runs his own masonary company now and makes well over 100k. I think if you are not going to go to school you really need a plan so you dont end up another number at the factory. You dont have to know what you want to do with your life on the first day of class either, hell you can spend the first two years just getting your basics out of the way.

College isnt for everybody but I would recommedn you get into a trade and not just go work at a factory. Electricians, plumbers, piepfitters, carpenters, masons, etc, etc, etc. They all make about what your average BA/BS does but the work is hard and usually a lot of OT.
