SVT Fuckus motor in a Ranger

Don't the newer Ranger, 99 + have the 2.4's from the Fuckus's? How hard would it be to put a SVT Fuckus motor in a older Ranger, 93+? What RWD bellhousing and tranny is need to do such a swap?

yes they do. the DOHC (duratec)2.3 is the same as the the 04 up NON svt focus. the svt is a 2.0 ZETEC motor.

The new Duratech motor with minor mods is a way better motor than the svt. The bounus to the svt is the 6 speed tranny.

I wouldn't waste my time doing either swap however. I would look into a small block or a 2.3 turbo from a Merkur, or Thunderbird.

no those motors are terds unless you buy some hella pricey cosworth parts for it. only diff really in the NON svt 2.0 and svt 2.0 is the fucky intake design,forged internals and different pcm config and bigger exhaust.

hey speaking of, does anyone have a 5 spd from a Duratec ranger laying around? I know a lot of V8 swaps have gone on, need one fairly soon.
