I would like to do just a basic aigbag setup, do I want to 4link the rear or just do mounts where Im not goin for a crazy setup, and do a 6" c-notch. In the front do what I have to. But my question is how much am I lookin at in cost to do this ruffly? And could I get some pics of the front to see how u guys did the bag mounts and where u relocated the shocks. And same for the rear would be great too. I am planning on doin this in the spring. SO I have lots of time getting infomation and pics.

well depends.......are you going budget? like cheapest stuff out just to get you by for now? you need to get a little more specific. you can get complete bag kits for around 900 something from www.fbimini.com comes with the brackets front ant rear, and the notch. as far as 4 links go. thats up to you. you can go cheap and just mono leaf a drop leaf spring and block it. Or you can do a 2 link. Its up to you. but if you were to mono leaf, and buy that kit from fbimini.com you could do it all for about 1200 bucks. but thats a cheap way out. if you bought quality stuff, and 4 linked it, and did all the work youself, around 2000-2500 bucks atleast

If you mono leaf it the leaf will hit the ground before the frame.

DO NOT DO A TWO LINK ON A MAZDA. I bought my current mazda with a two link from the stock perches using the stock leaf bushings and

1) the axle moved back and forth in the wheel well about 2 inches which ruined the carrier bearing

2) had enough pinion angle change to ruin the u joints at the pinion.

3) swayed back and forth under cornering.

4) IT STILL HIT THE GROUND FIRST.

I threw it away after dubbing it the most half assed execution of a bad idea I have ever seen. The gas tank fits behind the axle just fine, and you would have to raise it anyway to keep from dragging the ground, so why not just do it right the first time?

do a three link, or a 4 link. I had a mono leafed truck with bag over axle and it rode good but got pitiful lift and I almost drug through the leafs.

not budget at all then, most likely when the time comes to do it I will buy everything from FBI and go from there thx

Okay, this is on a Toyota, but the rear section is similar on a Mazda and it may give you some ideas. Its nothing crazy, but I like it.

Its a forward facing 3 link with rear lift bars, that retains the stock gas tank location (mounted 1.5" off the ground laid out). It gets very little pinion change thoughtout 12 inches of travel on a 28" tall tire before the shocks limit lift.

yeah well that two link that was talked about up there ^^^ was all in the previous installer. i dont recomend mono leafing or 2 linking EVER!!!! but if you trying to not spend money, than thats the right path. spend the extra 200-400 bucks and get a 4 link or wishbone 3 link setup. thats the best way to go man.
