superchip in 04+ f150

has anyone here gotten the superchips computer for a 2004 to 2007 ford f150. Its like 550 bucks on their site and i wanted to know if its worth it. This truck just has no balls. Also from what i gather it looks like it just plugs in and you go through step by step like when checking for codes. Does anyone know if someone has one if it can be used in more than one car? or are they vehicle specific. and if they are could it be used in more than one f150

my buddy had a hypertech powerprogramer on his 04 F150 crew cab and he didnt notice much of a diffrence even with 93 fuel only diffrence was shift points. He sent it back because for that much money it wasnt worth it.

But I have a superchips program in my 98 tahoe and noticed a sutle diffrence in everything and I have mine tuned for 89octane but my program was way cheaper than the ones for 04 f150s

yeah i thought they would be cheaper than that. did you notice any difference in gas mileage?

they have a block on them so you cant use them on multiple vehicles

hmmm. I was just on an f150 site and they seem to be head over heals for the edge programmers. but to get the performance you gotta run 91 or higher octane. I actually get free gas from work but i gotta use 87 so that's not gonna help me any.

my gas mileage stayed about the same if not a little worse just because I probly romp on it more knowing its faster lol. But as far as I know the hypertech sucks for gas because I have personal experince with 4diffrent cars with hypertech and only noticeable thing was the trans shift points. and that was on a 04f150 crew cab, 96 Tahoe 4x4, 03 Hemi Ram and then a 01 Tahoe and no noticeable power upgrades or fuel mileage change. Thats just my experience with hypertech programers...I love my superchips and my buddy loves his too.
