when i did mine i connected the ground wire in the cab of my truck then ran the power wire to the battery. the amp wont come on until the remote wire has been connected to your head unit. so if you hook up your power or ground first it doesnt really matter cause until you hook up the remote wire the amp wont turn on until you turn you ignition on.

actually, you are getting power with the power and ground hooked up, the remote just turns it on, its always getting power. if you hook those up and happen to hit the mwith your speaker wires, you're able to blow the subs if they are hooked up, you are able to blow fuses or anything if a screw driver hits it, etc..

i always hook up my RCA's, wire up my remote and put the headunit back together in the dash, then wire my sub woofers up. then my ground, then run my power wire and make sure i leave the fuse out of the holder, when its all hooked up, i go put the fuse in the holder, turn the key on and start dialing in the amp.

unless you got some bad ass digital designs subs or the re mt sub because you can plug those into wall outlets and they wont die.

it doesnt matter what you hook up first or last just as long as you keep the fuse out of the power wire and leave the ignition off so the h/u doesnt have power until everything is good to go and you are ready to turn it on

the inline fuse holder.. we ALL know when you take the fuse out, the brass ends slide together.. that will make a non-fuseable link.. i'd say not even hook it up, but hey!

so leave the amp side out of the holder
