i was driving home last night and notice that my head lights went off, and then i noticed my security light on the dash was on. then i read in the owners manual if the security light comes on while you are driving then you can turn your truck off and it'll turn back on, it did it once but now it won't start. how do i bypass the passlock shit.

I dont think you can bypass it

do you happen to have a remote start alarm system on your truck???
if so the passlock bypass module could be the problem, (or poor installation of the module).

You can not by-pass the pass lock sensor. maybe a quick fix for your promblem to put the key in cylinder, turn it to the on position for 10 minutes are until the light goes off, turn the key back off and then start the truck, this will relearn the sensor, this is just a short -term fix, you will need to change out your cylinder and cylinder house to fix the promblem the right way.

p.s. i work at a dealership that is how i know

i dont have remote start, but it is a cheap alarm, i herd that the harness that the coloumn plugs into sometime the can become loose which makes sence cause it happen at the deer lease while driving down a bumby ass road
