He said he can't log into SSM right now, but emailed me and has a question he wants posted:

when i start going over multiple bumps in the road we start bouncing and BANG,,,, when i go over just one "bigger" bump, BANG.... (only going like 20mph or less during this whole ride)... this is comming from the back AND front of the car. What is banging? While thinking about it, would it be the bolts holding the Cylinder to the body of the car? I tightened them all down enough to where the 3/4" of rubber gasket if just slightly squished. If this is the problem, how far do I tighten the bolts down and squish the gasket? Thanks all!

does it only do it when its totally locked up? my car did the same i think its the rod in the cylinder that maxes out but not too sure anyone else?

thats what my boys integra will do when we over something near locked out. i also think its the cylinder just maxing out and making the popping noise.

that is the cylinder maxing out, or bottoming out. He probably does not have any built in bumpstops in the cylinder. Normally it is more of a CLONK sound, but I guess it can differ a little from car to car.

thanks guys, I sent those replies to him.

that's what my civic did,it semmed to only do it when i had the car all the way up or when i had 15-25 psi in the cyilinders, when i was at like 100 psi ride height it would never do it

HEY, i can post again thanks Ricky for posting for me!

Ok, so i go and try to do what you guys suggust yesterday... and try to adjust the ride height to the exact middle of the road, however...

I'll fill all 4 corners... it will sit for about 5-10 seconds, then the Front Drivers will dump all the wazy down to 0psi. Like it's automatically setting off the switch... then after maybe a minute the dump valve will click back to normal, and work fine for an hour or so... then decide to dump again.

If the valve was "sticking", why would it Open by it-self? and not just stay open AFTER i hit the switch to dump?

Thanks again all!

Is your tank PSI dropping so much from sitting there re-adjusting things, so that there isn't any backpressure to hold the valves closed?

Just one thing that came to mind.. but if you have a pressure switch functioning and/or watching a gauge.. ignore my input lol.

sounds like the seals are bad in the cylinder.

^ ya prolly what it is

unless you physically hear the dump valve opening by itself and dumping the air out, then you have a short on that dump valve
