Avic Z1 Ebrake Bypass

Anyone know how to bypass the ebrake on the Avic Z1. Ill be gettin one in a few weeks and am not sure how the ebrake work for the pioneer. Thanks

send the green wire to ground, along with the regular groud wires.

Then interupt the green wire with a toggle switch, and make the toggle switch accessable, each time you want to watch a movie you will need to flip the switch.

yup ground it but it has gyros inside of it so it still knows when the car is moving

SORRY TAYLOR YOU ARE WRONG. THERE ARE TWO EASY WAYS TO DO THE BYPASS. WHEN THE SCREEN COMES UP AND SAYS "STARTING PIONEER NAVIGATION" IN THE UPPER LEFT HAND CORNER FLASH THE PARKING LIGHTS ON AND OFF (ASSUMING YOU HAVE THE ILLUMINATION WIRE HOOKED UP) OR THE BEST WAY IS GO TO AVIC411.COM AND SOME COMPUTER GEEK GUY BUILT A SMALL RELAY WITH BUILT IN TIMER THAT FLASHES THE LIGHTS FOR YOU AT THE RIGHT TIME,. HE CHARGES AROUND THIRTY BUCKS FOR THEM AND THEY WORK GREAT. I HAVE INSTALLED THREE AND NEVER HAD A PROBLEM. GROUNDING THE E-BRAKE DOESNT WORK BECAUSE THE NEW PIONEER VIDEO WORKS THRU THE GPS SO IT KNPWS IF THE CAR IS MOVING

yea i was bout to say avic411.com i just by-passed my d1 so i can play movies while driving and play with my gps... that site has alot of useful info

thats interesting.

Mine and my wifes Z1 work every day wired up the way i mentinoed above. Ive never had a problem with it like that.
