do i need to upgrade my alternator wire for my 140 amp alternator.i upgraded from my stock alternator,it was a 65 amp.

i would recoment just to run a 4 guage...

you can run it right to the battery im pretty sure. just put in a 140 amp fuse or two fuses close to that. car audio store should have that

or a circuit breaker if you have room, lots easier to reset than take off cover and replace fuse. Also, if it's one of those alternators that was wound up to 140 amp, be ready to replace it in a year or so. I had to replace mine in a year and a half, but it was only running regularly for about a month out of that.
