What got you hooked?

I know this sounds a little gay, but what got you guys hooked on duallys? I was just kinda curious?

Heres my story...

Ever since I was little, I've always like big trucks. When I say big trucks, I mean like Peterbilts, etc. My Dad worked for a heavy equipment company in the early 80's. They had a couple of dope-ass Peterbilts and an old slammed Kenworth. I would go to work with him sometimes real early and I just remember seein these bitchin trucks pullin' lowboys out of the yard with TD-20's on 'em and what not. So I think I rationalized a dually because an old Pete was a little impractical to drive around everyday. Just seemed like the biggest pick up I could get.

Fast forward to the mid 90's...

My neighbors across the street all had S-10's and what not. This is when bags were still in their infancy. I had my Mazda and we were like the bad ass local mini truckers. Anyway, my neighbors mentioned that their cousin was driving in from Az. He finally gets there and He's got this BITCHIN C-30 and He's pullin this sweet-ass jet boat. I was floored. That's what hooked me. Got my first C-30 shortly thereafter, and the rest, as they say, is history.

Dad had a bad ass 76 back in the day, black with white scallops and a matching 30' enclosed trailer for the race car. Always wanted one and back then duallys were rare to see modified. Then i started to realise that you can make any truck look badass, but duallys could then haul lots more people and lots more weight (like 3 of those lil s10s) Then semi wheels came along and that was that.

well it all started on day in sept, actually sept 11 1979 i was born and well oh you want to know how i got into dually's my bad wrong place for that previous statement, well i started with a dropped ranger, then went to cruisefest, when it was somewhat decent if you can call that show decent back in late 90's, say bags and then it progressed to baggin my ranger and then getting my ram lowered and then the 3500, so basically i jsut logically progressed in vehicle size sicne i liked'em big ( i know a comment or 2 will come bring it on) and saw a few bad arse duallies so i was like i want one always had a speical spot in my hear t for them( sappy line there) for big bodies on the ground

plus they look mean and bring alot of attiutde with having on and on the ground gain alot of respect

just got tired of fixing up s 10's and after i wreck the last one i decided i wanted the biggest truck i could get .. and just because i love the reaction rednecks give me when they see a WORK TRUCK tearing road titties of the road

oh yea, and to my story...i was just sick of seeing lowered small trucks, and had (untill i made mine) never seen a slamed dually (cept in pictures) and since no one else had one i thought it would be a shock to the system lol, it was a dually or surburban, what ever i could find first, and i found the dually.
