96 S10 ENGIN LOCK UP HELP

I JUST BUY A 96 S10 I NEED HELP CAN A CALIVALER ENGIN WORK OR WHAT WOULD I HAVE 2 DO 2 REBILD IT

to put the cavi engine in would be a lot of work but possible because cavs are front wheel drive s10`s are rear wheel the motors are similar but a few things are different

there is two much work...not worth it

yup prolly just easier to drop a 350 in or something of that nature but if your just looking to rebuild it its pretty easy to rebuild them i did mine in about 12 hours

Miniguy, Call an engine rebuilder near you and ask what they would charge. That is a tough question to answer on a worldwide forum unless we live near you and know local pricing. Good Luck!

also, it depends on what you need to buy and what is tore up in the engine itself. it varies depending on all of that. i've rebuilt 2.2's and 4.3's in s10's. but if you are gonna have to put alot of money in one, you should just do a v8 switch.
