not nit picking but why does it look like you slide the mounts forward on the frame?

I slide the mounts forward because the UCA brackets actually lean towards the cab. So I used the LCA to measure were to put the brackets. If I would of went strait up it would of put the tire deep into the firewall. I took a square and measured off the LCA. I went strait up the square 5 inches and put the brackets there. They are actually moved forward about an inch. But the brackets are in the same place in relation to the LCA, so the geometry is the same. Kind of hard to explain, but hopefully you get it.

have you driven it yet? hit bumps? the upper control arms are farther back for a reason... i believe its called caster.

I didn't change the angle of the spindle any. The angle stayed the same. If I would of followed the angle of the stock brackets it actually would leaned the sindle back into the cab more. I measured everything in relation to the stock lower and upper ball joint and the raised upper and lower balljoint. I drew a diagram using paint to try and explain it. I'm no expert but to the best of my knowledge this is how I should of done it. If not I guess I will find out sooner or later.

The green line is the plane of the LCA. The change wouldn't of been that drastic but you get my drift, I hope. If this isn't right please someone let me know so I can correct or see what my options are to fixing it. That's just how I seemed it shoudl be done. I kind of brought out the old high school geometry when I was measureing.

At first i didnt understand.. Does seem a little far forword.. But Let us know how it works out in the end.

How is the Bump Steer?
thacru78   +1y
So far so good. I am going to get it aligned tomorow. But with me just eyeing it, it drives pretty good. I do get a little bump steer. Nothing major but when I hit a good size bump it kind of jerks around a little. I'm sure it will get better after the alignment. What psi is your ride height in the front? At 80 im about 3 inches off the ground and at 150 i'm about full lift which is 4 inches over the tire.

I ride at 110 , THat sets my camber even and allows for me to turn the 305/40r22 im runnin,

My bag is under the rail as well on the lca. so you may be looking at a bit more for that setup.

However i can ride about 60 and be an inch off the ground. If it wasnt for the Tire rubbin .. Big ass meats lol..

Couple pics of her finally done, at least for the weekend. Got her aligned and she drives great. Everything was in specs including the caster. They didn't even have to adjust the camber or caster, I eyed it in good enough I guess. They did have to adjust the toe. Monday the axle goes to Moser to get cut down. Never ending project.....
