I was wondering is there any special type of filler to use before you powder coat? I am goin to powder coat my frame and was wonderin if i could put some filler in some places to smooth it out better and make it flow? didnt know if you had to use a special type of filler or if you could do it at all?

Powder is baked EXTREMELY hot, and it also has to be a material that can be magnetized.
Only thing that MIGHT work is METAL2METAL but I have my doubts on that standing up to the heat. I will talk to my powdercoat guy tomorrow and see if he can do a test piece with some M2M just for shits.

what about using lead and then sanding it smooth

lab metal is the shit, its hard as a rock, tappable, and i believe it can be powdercoated over.

brass is what you use. from what I'm told u work it like lead to smooth out the welds or whatever else you're wanting to smooth. it doesn't have to be a metal that can be magnetized, it just needs to be able to conduct a sufficient electrical charge. I don't think lead would work because, although a metal, lead is a poor conductor as compared to other metals such as copper, steel, brass, aluminum, etc...

use weld then grind it smooth if you use any other additives you will have a reaction in the oven most likly a "gas out" and that will turn a good powder coat job into a shit job and with most "filling", your powder coater can be built the powder up in those spots to smooth them out for you
