4 link problem

alright we have a little bit of a problem and need some s10ers help. ok so we are putting a four link on a 00 s10. we put the bottom bars in and everything looks good. then we were going to put in the triangulated one but cant b/c the bracket hides behind stock crossmember. so now we decided to move it to the top of that cross member and the bottom of the axle. so we tack it in and jack it up and there is no give. the axle lifts up as we jack up by the frame. so we take that off and mount it to the top of the crossmember and the top of the axle and it works fine. but my only deal is if we put it up there there will not be room for the bag. and there really isnt to much room for the bar to go on the bottom of the crossmember bc all that exhaust stuff is in the way. can i just run a parallel bar set up. or does there have to be some type of triangulated one to keep it going side to side. sorry this is so long just very detailed.

I'm not too sure if I totalling understand ur setup but you can run a parallel setup but you will need to run a panhard bar that will stop the side to side motion. The triangulated bars that ur having a problem with would normally stop the side to side action.

look up air ride tech and look at their bolt on cheesegrator set up. they have really good close up pics, so yu can build yours like theirs, and yu wont have any probs

it will be very hard to do parallel on an s10 cause you wont have enough room to the ends of axle to be able to mount brackets to frame. on full size, this is possible cause stock leaf spring hangers are on side of frame, not below.

sounds like your triangle bars are too long. mounting them under axle will not work as you found. you also want to mount them sideways to the x-member, not on top or below, this wont let it pivot.

you might want to either get a wish bone for the 3rd link or just do one forward link on passenger side and add a pnahard bar like on devious customs 3 link. i've put that on before and it works good.
