ok i just bought a 94 mazda b2300 cabplus from a buddy. it was a previous cover truck and featured in the first domination dvd. well i want to redo the enitre truck. and in 94 mazdas had i-beams on them. i was wondering if i could get a newer mazda or ford frame and would everything still bolt up? and is there a difference in the motor mounts on the 4cylinder trucks and v6 trucks? i want to get a frame under it without the i-beams and what year did they switch over from the i beam front suspension?

the motors mounts don't interchange as far as i know.

ask james, bagged85 about the frames. he'll know if you can just slap a 98+ control arm frame on it

the 98+ control arm frames aint much better to work with, you still get all kinds of crazy camber and weird tire rod behavior.

I would suggest you clip the front with a toyota front clip. Couldnt be any harder than swapping an entire frame and you will at least get decent lift and steering.

Take a look in the Ford trucks forum to see some 98+ trucks laid out, they need to lift 6 inches to keep from ruining their tires.

do an s-10 front clip, so you can put in a 350 or somethign of that nature.
