i already have 2 amps, one for the mids n highs and one for the sub. im adding another amp for a set of extra components. wats the best way to hook this up? run all seperate wires again, or can you hook it up to one of the existing amps like terminal to terminal?

dont go from 1 amp to another. either run new wiring or get a distribution block from your stereo shop and run a ga bigger to it, then split to what you're running now. i.e. if you are running 8ga to your other 2 amps, run 4ga to the dis block, then 8 ga out. if you're running 4 ga to your current amps, run 0 ga to your dis block.

I not trying to knock you or your skill's but the fact that you asked that question leads me to give you this advise. Pay a pro to hook it up it may look ez but there's a reason why installers get payed to do what they do. But if you do what to install it your self please run new power wires for the new amp and you will need to y the RCA's to both high amps if your other high amp has RCA out's don't use them i could tell you why but that would take to long.

This dude is right... I think if you know absolutely nothing about systems.. Go to a pro... But if you hooked up the other 2 amps, u can do it yourself! I have been doin that stuff since i was 14 messing with my pops minivan and now I have my own sound and security shop... Plus its kool to know u did it yourself! Originally posted by 91 drggn dime
