Squaring up the cab...

So my floor is cut out and what not... I need to square up the cab to where it should be on the body mounts.

I could do it with the chunk of floor I cut out, but I want it to be exact.

So if you've got some suggestions let me know.

I was thinking if someone could measure the distance from the center of the rear wheels to the back of the cab wall or something.

Its a reg cab short box b2200.

If you still have the chunk of floor, measure from the back wall to the rear cab mount and use the frame dimensions picture onmazdatruckin.com

That chunk i've got isn't the most relaible thing as it was pretty rotten... any more suggestions?

put the cab on something solid like a cement floor.. measure corner to corner till they are both the same, weld some 1x in there to keep that distance when u get it the same. itwill only equal the same amount when 100% square.

I guess I kinda named this thread poorly...

The cab is square... I want to make sure im putting it back in the right place on the frame, so that its not to far forward or to far back.

your best bet since you didnt take any measurements is to stick the front end together, then bolt the fenders to the cab and gapped right, then measure out for mounts.

set the bed on first I would think you could get the cab within a 1/4 inch of stock location if you put the bed on first...

Don't have a box, don't even have box mounts (custom frame keep in mind.

I suppose I could just setup the cab with the fenders on so the wheels are centered... that might do the trick.

When I did mine. I bolted the core support on then the fenders and then bolted them onto the cab. Spaced my gaps how they needed to be and opened the doors making sure nothing is hitting. Then i jacked the frame up and lined my cab mounts up and tacked them.
