I went throught the whole Its dumb to bag a truck and now its like damnit I wanna bag a truck. I got my hands on a 98 ranger extended cab 2wd I wanna bag it. Is it going to be just like bagging a toyota or s10? I know it has the control arms upfront Im just curious what issues I might run into when I start to tear this apart?
Your gonna have the basics like an S-dime. However you will have to deal with ranny crossmembers, driveshaft hitting the cab, relocating the gas tank or fuel cell "with stock pump" No raiseing it. 4 link, Z the front rails if youwant it to lay flat . Just to get you started.
KP COMPONENTS MAKES A GAS TANK X-MEMBER THAT RAISES IT UP 1"
raise it up, but it still hangs waaaaaay below the frame so it's basically pointless. Blausplash covered all the major headaches.
you don't have to Z the frame; however itwon't lay flat. i haven't had mine done yet, but it's much less noticable in the extended cabs than it is in a regular cab. be prepared to notch the hell out of the cab, the cab crossmember, gas tank crossmember cuz the one piece driveshaft is friggen huge and hits everything.
