Mount the bottom of the bag to the top of the factory link bars. On the top get universal upper bag brackets.

Markus..............geez bro.........what? now you can't call Kurt? Seem to remember us rolling around in his 67........hmmm.....

nah bro, mount the bag to the link bar by the rear axle (closer to the axle will give you less lift, too close to the wheel, and it will probobly give you some problems trying to lay out) so find the happy medium there and go for it. drill a hole through the link and mount the bottom of the bag, use a chevy full size or most any generic cup (less that 2" tall, 1" ideal) and you'll be set.

the bags dont go on the link bars that is on the x-frame cars 64-down. On 65-up the bags will go over the axle where the springs are at and i personally like to use a sleeve bag in the rear as they get more lift and ride nice. You can use the stock shock mounts and buy a shorter shock.

That is correct except the stock shock will work unless you notch it.If you don't notch it on a 235-75-15 it won't lay.215-75-15 will. Also the motor and tranny will drag if you don't move them up.If you move them up the drive shaft won't clear.
