thats the tire size

The first # is the width of the tire in mm, the second # is the height of the side wall as a percent of the width, the third # is the rim size.

The first number is the width measured in mm, the second number is the aspect ratio which is the side wall height on that particular tire is 35% of 305mm, and the third number is obviously the rim size.

If are not going to lower it the tire will be fine, but if your going to lower it I would go with a 295/30/24. As far as offset on a chevy most six lug chevy wheel are going to be a +15-+20 mm. If you are going to lower it more than 6 inches I would recomend +35mm offset
