Rear Discs for 89-95

Whats the best way to get rear discs under my 2wd? I see some off-roaders pull all of the drum guts and use the stock base flange and fabbed caliper bracket, would this work? Are 4wd axles beefier?

4wd axles are 6 lug. Do the same type of swap with Mustang rear rotors.

same flange size you can keep the tock 5 lug just go to auto zone or any goo parts store and get camry rear disc and flly loaded calipers and at the dealer the caliper brackets. or i can get you all dealer parts.

You need a disc-disc master cylinder as well. Its a good idea at least. I got all the parts to do mine for under $200. Loaded calipers, rotors, brake lines, master cylinder, and hardware.

To do it cheap, get 84-86 Mustang SVO rotors. Pronto brand are about $25 each retail. Get some 79-88 Monte Carlo calipers. They fit the discs, and they're cheap because they are chevy parts. Mine were $40 each, and that includes a $15 core. For the master, get on off of a '96 Land Cruiser with 4 wheel discs, and non-ABS. It fits the stock booster.

you can use camry stuff or avalon the avalon rotors are little bigger and match the fronts better. u can use your stock booster and master,remove the load sensing preportioning valve, use the brake line that comes off the master for the rear, install an adjustable preportioning valve inline, bleed the system and test drive on the lowest setting and adjust the valve to your liking.

i put 02 V6 honda accord rotors and calipers on mine, and yes i just cut off all the drum crap and the rotors basically slide on the studs, fab up a bracket and make u'r lines. u'r set to go woth a proportionin valve.
