I'm snooping through this site http://www.nostalgicairparts.com and it's obviously majority of nothing but older rides aside from a few modern. And it got me thinking if these underdash or indash setups (i.e. Camaro or Pontiac) had to be engine specific? I'm not too knowledge-ated on A/C systems, but I would imagine that I could run a factory A/C Comp. off of my V6 and the factory condensor and just buy one of these small A/C Driers they sell for like $15, run all the lines together and get it straight-wired off of 12v? Aside from vents and all that jazz. Someone spit some knowledge my way on this if I'm not fully correct.

yes you use all your stuff, and add their kit. if you call the company, and tell them what you hav, they can make sure they supply yuou with all the correct stuff..

They make some nice stuff, sounds simple to install too.

i did one in my buddies 2000 S-10. I was a total whore and it barely fits. Ya, you are suppose to be able to use the factory compressor, and condensor but used T.B.I. and would not recomend. Been 3 months and still can't get the right fittings to adapt to the factory fittings. Any ?'s hit me up.

I called Vintage Air and they said that I could use my compressor and condenser but the controls won't work. I would have to use their A/C controls. Does anybody know how to hook it up with the factory s-10 A/C controls?

try hot rod air, the whole deluxe kit for $875 and some change, and you send your hvac controls and they wire them for you.
