I have a good friend who is a great artist that wants to give airbrushing a start. Any recommendations on a decent starter kit that wont break the bank right away?

Passche VL 3 kit for like $75 - $100 is a good "starter" kit. I think it comes with color cup, couple of bottles, air line, wrench, extra tips and needles.

dont waste your money on the pos pasche...pick up a iwata eclipse cs for a little bit more and u will be alot happier with it...

I've worked in a production shop painting nascar, arca, hooters cup, etc. helmets and parts and all we used were Passche. They're easy to clean easy to use, and easy to learn on and all the replacement parts are cheap and you can get them at 95% of hobby shops across america.

True, Iwata makes a better airbrush (at a higher cost). I think a "decent starter kit that won't break the bank" is the Passche
