Caprice Bose System??

Im having some trouble with my radio in my caprice i just bought. With the FACTORY radio in the dash i can turn it on and get nothing but a high pitched squeel, almost like feedback. I hooked up a regular CD player to it and get the same stuff. The power antenna is broken, but i wouldnt think that would cause the problem im having.

Anybody know anything about this crap?? I need a radio BAD!

i had the exact problem and i had to run 8 wires from the plug that goes into the amp to the cd player harness and just figure out what wire goes to what speaker. or you can find somone who can fix the amp but it will be pretty expensive

I cant unhook the bose amp and just use a regular CD player?

yeah just by-pass the factory amp..

that is basically what the guy said about running wires from the amp did.. except he spliced off at the amp instead of running new speaker wire from the deck. same thing.
