i'm trying to figure out a place to put my tank, and the place it fits best is some where that would be difficult to make brackets for the feet, but i could easily weld from the tank to the body.is it wise or not?

i think it would be like welding anything else thats steel but im not sure but the brackets are already welded on so i would try it

I welded my own brackets on my air tank. I got the tank from a 18-wheeler junk yard and welded a piece of angle on the top of it. I run 220 all day and havent had any problems. I say go for it.

i see no problem welding the tank to the frame or legs onto the tank (i did on mine)

but there's no way i'd weld it to the body like the original post says, that air tank isn't light and sheetmetal isn't that strong

If your concern is the tank holding up after you weld to it then that depends on your welding skills. Welding to a tank isn't an issue if done right.

I'm a welder/fab. for a liveing, if that matters but there is nothing that will happen if you weld in it.......

thanks to all, yeah the body would be too weak i will weld it to something stronger
