comparing true train horns to the ones most people have

i ran into a set of the kl5's and was wondering are they really louder then the ones most of us use... hornblasters.com ect. ? thanks

y real train horns are twice as loud.

Where I live I can hear the train horns but if i were to take my truck up to the same spot and let my horn go, I seriously doubt I would be able to hear it. So, yes, the nathan horns are louder. But I have set off car alarms with my horn so they are not dissapointing. How much did you find the horn for? Is it over $1,000

I do have one question though, would a train horn be louder with a nitrogen bottle connection or would it be about the same with a compressor? Is there a maximum psi horns can handle?

My friend ran his off his nitrogen and they weren't much louder than mine.

we had a dually in at work, dual 5 horn real train horns. i hooked my the shop psi through my blow gun up to them and they shook the floor..

i got a guy who works at cn, he has been lookin for a used one to take from work for me.
he said no more than 110 psi or you will wreck the diaphram?
