I may be trading my C10 for an '87 2wd blazer. I was wondering the best way to 4 link the rear. On my truck I was able to take the bed off and get to everything. How do people set up rear suspension in a blazer? Cut the floor out and rebuild it? I don't really want to make a big project out of it, I am just trying to get it bagged quickly as my new daily driver.

This poor post has been up for a while and no attention.

There are a few pics of 4-links that I built under vehicles with room issues like the Blazer on my profile.

Check the Nash and the '37 Ford.

Thanks. I am trying to get as much info as possible before I cut the floor out. I am using it as a daily driver up until the last minute. Anybody know some average lengths for the link bars? I don't want to buy way to much tubing. Do you know the website for ias?

www.innovativeairsuspensions.com i believe is larry's site.

buying the tubing? make sure its DOM tubing and its not cheap, its cheaper to buy a 4 link kit.

I am a press brake operator in a metal shop. So I get all of my metal for cheap. Like scrap price cheap, it's great.

man you're a lucky ass then.. paying 8.25 a foot here for 1.5" 3/16 wall is becoming a bitch

it sucks tho because most of the time it has to be ordered in a 12 or 24' lengths. plus locating a decent notcher to notch the tubing is hard to do unless you got a hookup at a machine shop that feels like milling your bars.

here its 20 foot lengths and yes it sucks.. but i have a notcher.. key is getting good hole saws, that is the pain.. good ones are 40-45 bucks each.. the lowes ones cut 3/16 and 1/4 dom bars 2-3 cuts and they are flat teethed.

Aircraft Spruce in Corona, Ca will sell 4130 in many different sizes (and shapes) by the foot at a very resonable price

and they ship.
