alternator and battery

does anybody know what size alternator my truck has on it,its a 94 chevy fullsize wiht a 350,and where can i get a bigger one cause my comp drains the shit out of the electrical system,also what optima battery is the best yellow,blue,or red.Thanks for all the help

yellow and blue are basically the same battery. I would go with one of the two of those. I go with red tops cuz I basically get them fro free.

yea but i heard one of them is the best for running comps.and where is a good place 2 get high amp alternators???

summit or jegs for the alternator... the yellow and blue are both deepcycle batterys. just the blue is suuposed to be for marine grade applications, but it will work on the trucks we build also.

Not being a jerk but do not use a blue top. They are not ment for automotive applications. Optima will not cover it if used in a car or truck...I would get a red top for the truck and a yellow for the comps. You can cause damage to yellow tops by useing them to start the car. Ive herd tons of stories about them.

oh ok thanks,i wonder what size the alt. is??? i found a 200amp on ebay for 150 im prolly gona buy,im waiting 2 make sure it is the right one

Those that have messed up yellow tops probably were using the wrong one. They have one that is just deep cycle and one that is deep cylce and starting. I have the second and have not had any problems. If it is the main battery use the starting/deep cycle.

pm your VIN to me and i'll see what alt your truck came with when i get to work monday .It seems like most of the people with 88-06 trucks i've sold alts to in the past have had a couple choices

so get the deep cycle and starting??
