toyota clip a ranger?

Ive read a few posts about people putting like a older toyota front clip in a ranger. Would it be better to do that in the long run, rather than zing it? Especially since the ranger have such bad camber, and to switch it from rack and pinion to a gear box. Also does anyone have any pics someone please help

use your stock clip -- it worked for me -- and i could lower the motor if i wanted to but i just chose to run a hood scoop ---- i like the camber --- go ahead and run a toyota clip and waste all that time just so you can save yourself a little camber !!!!

well i was just wondering what everyone thought was the best option. Are your ball joints in a bind? cause mine are practically at a breaking point, and i want to be able to ride low with out worring abouy somehting breaking. Also can you raise your upper control arms to correct your camber?

bosy dropt on 18's a little bind -- but no where near the breaking point -- and yes you can raise them up a bit -- but just ride it locked up and dont worry about the tire wear ---- my boys body dropt to the doors on 20's with stock clip bonds a bit also- -- both of us have stock arms -- hell i even have my sway bar and shocks up front -- rides great !!

yea the stock clip works good, but the spindle is more like a club w/ the tall ass part for the upper ball joint. just use the whole toyota frame and stock floor it whileyour at it

I want to upgrade to 20s on my body dropped ranger from 18s and drive it alot so was considering a yota swap instead of mustang II does ANYBODY on here have a pic or pics of an installation i would really like to know whats involved
