whay dosent anyone run old skool steelys like whats on the older big rigs, as far as i kno there were alot of 22.5 steelys on the road b/c my granddad and uncle have a shit load of them? can you machine them as well as the aluminum or is it a lost cause? ive seen 1 or two duallys with them so i kno it can be done.......

It's either that, or try to stretch a 22 inch tire over a 22.5 inch rim.

it wouldnt make since to strech a tire like that but there are some dumbasses out there but if any of yall want to kno what made me think of this its the oct.06 sport truck it has the red square body on the cover and there is a white dually on smoothys on page 127, are those steel???? hell they might be alum. now that i look at it but still iv seen the steel wheels.

Wish I could do something with my steelie 19.5's, it would save me some money. Guess I could always sell them to someone that doesn't mind their truck being so high off the ground that you can climb under it without using a jack or even bending over.

There was an orange dually Caprice that had them. There was a thread on this site about it not too long ago.

Are they only dangerous if they are machined or are they just plain dangerous all together? I have seen a few trucks around Detroit that are totally stock but with 19.5's on them. Are most 19.5's direct bolt ons? I seem to remember that most of them were still 8 lug...i could be wrong.
