oil pressure gauge on 91 fullsize

i got a 91 chevy fullsize. my oil pressure guage is always high but i dont know if it is normal high. its always at least at the 45 mark. is this normal or is it too high? what can be the cause of it? its a new crate engine so i was thinking it may just have higher oil pump or something.... help

45 psi is fine

shit i got built 350 reads at 60psi at 1500rpm and at full thortle it gets up to like 100psi i havnt payd too much attention but i know its up there

The sender unit on your gauge maybe goin out. my gauge is out havnt replaced it yet. To be safe, hook up a oil gauge and test it. thats what i did. I just put in a new crate too. You should be gettin around 60psi
