if you cant figure this out, then you shouldnt be thinkin of doing it

werd to that

also, you said build it just where the frame sticks out from under the truck.......what the hell does that mean, the frame under a blazer doesn't stick out anywhere. And if you stockfloor it, you're building the frame under the areas where your seats/feet are, which is pretty much the entire frame from the firewall back on a blazer.

either way you still have to do some major modifications to the body to clear the motor/tranny/driveshaft/axle

you need to learn alot about what you're wanting to do before you make your first cut

u need to do a lot of reading and study up on doing a bodydrop. im not trying to shoot ya down but u can fuck the hole thing up and then the blazer would be junk. so do some reading

i agree with them. just keep asking questions, reading forums/articles and get all the info you can. its easier to know and do it right the first time than to fix a bunch of mistakes after you ruined the truck.

see this is the most common problem with this and many other sites.

How can he keep asking questions, if the only responses he gets is, if you dont know then you shouldnt be thinking about doing it.....?....?.

I absolutely agree with the responces, because just like everyone said, if you right off the bat cant even comprehend what a SFBD is, or what it entails....then your a long long way out from begining this kind of project.

What he needs to do, is do some research. And ask educated questions, not just off the wall general questions.

everyone has to start someware, but they most deffinentally should not start by posting HOW do i do this? Get your basics covered first by learning what a SFBD is, and what you need to do to your particular vehicle to achieve what you want. There are many other ways to reasearch this before you start asking question....espically ones like above. do that.

good luck.

there are 2 ways to do it.

new rails completely or cutting down your stock frame and plating it back up.. both is donea bout equally. 2 feature trucks in my town are done with cut-down stock frames and its allllll fine and safe if done right.

i'm doing new rails myself, cleaner imo.

build your frame rails inside your stock frame up against the top to get the contours and lines and tack up all the pieces and pull it out and finish weld it and you can go from firewall back if you just have a little bit of mathematical knowledge and welding skills
