---------------------------------------------Originally posted by AON-OFFDAHOOKI've done a hybrid setup before and it was nothing but problems and issues. I personally would stay away from it.  ---------------------------------------------Just curious as to why you are saying to stay away from it?  No bs, I really am interested. Thanks

When these systems first came out, over 10 years ago, they were the only way to get the ride of a bag on a strut car. It was before bagged struts were available. I have a friend that had it done on his Grand Am way back then. He had to fill his lines with hydraulic fluid which required a long set of lines and a vehicle with pumps to push the fluid into his lines.

That truck setup looks dangerous. Especially if some how a bag blew. Probably never would though.

Citroen has used a hydro-pneumatic suspensions as std equipment on ther vehicles since the late 30's. Instead of a bag though there is a sphere charged with 3000psi of nitrogen and a hyrdraulic cylinder attached to each wheel end position. same basic idea though. I have a 72 Citoren DS19 in my garage that has this setup and it works great now that the 37 year old hydro lines have been replaced. So it can be done sucessfully...and the ride is unmatched, nothing like it anywhere
