I have a 97 chevy C-1500. This winter I am either going to remove the inner fenders or raise them so the front will lay. Has anyone simply raised their stock inner fenders? If so, how much did they have to raise to lay on 20's.
Yeah I would say it will look pretty stupid....u need to get in there and handmake u some...u know...like i made my bumper by hand out of steel....gosh...beginner....
thats a good question i have a 1991 chev fullsize that i want to do to the same thing it was either going to be trailer fenders or i was thinking of getting another pair of factory wheel wells and cutting them in half and welding them together to make a taller factory wheel well or just cut the tops off the ones i have in now and just let the wheel pass thru the opening or just plain old ditch them.my only problem is on 88-98 chevs the battery tray gets bolted to the wheel well in a couple of places also my ac lines have a clip on the inner fender well to and i do not want to ditch my ac
I know you can relocate teh battery and re-route the AC lines away from the wheels. I thought about just removing the fenders but I like to drive mine and have been cought in rain to and from shows. Without the inner fenders the engine will get completly nasty and take even more time to clean it.
