im pickin up a truck soon and its gonna be an all year round ride..and i get alot of snow here so i dont want air really just for air leaks or if anything happends..just a big dropim thinking either a 4/5 or a 5/7 drop but what will i have to worry about going that low..will i have to notch anything or take things out like bumpstops? or will the rear end start hittin the bed?

You'll need to notch the frame in the back for clearance.

is that only if i do the 5/7?

i probaly can't give you an answer, but just for reference, what kind of truck? chances are you'll have to do a small c-notch just to give a little clearance.

I've heard just about any 4/6 or 5/7 will require a c-notch. If you have an S-10 I would notch the frame. I don't think you have to cut up your bed floor just the frame?

what's the truck??

I have a 90 Jimmy that's dropped 4/6 or 5/7 I'm not sure...but the truck is hella low. Get some good shocks that'll help you have a "better" ride. If there's nothing on the back the diff doesn't hit the frame (which ha a little notch like belltech put in their lowering kits). When I had the back seat and someone was sit on there the diff hit like crazy (that's why I got rid of it).

If you like it the hardcore way go for it... but be prepared...all the people that will ride in the truck will complain about the ride lol But driving slower and being carefull is just good. Up front the frame sits on the bumps so that's ok, but the ride is stiff.

All in all I love it, but I'm the only one I guess lol. Mine doesn't ride on winter tho... I'm sure it would be too low for winter driving!!

Feel free to ask any questions!!

Yeah, I just did a little research. a 6" will cause the axle to hit the frame. so a small basic c-notch is going to be your best bet. and definently a good set of shocks. (this is just what i've heard from a few quick websites)

Shocks will definitely help... you can trust me on that one

i have a 95 sonoma with a 5/6 belltech drop with 19s and I drove a little bit with just cut out bumpstops and hard bumps would make the frame smack the axle and sounded horrible. My fuel pump went out so while i had the bed off i put in bolt in c-notchs and now it rides great other than the tires scraping the front fenderwells. When you put in the notches you have to remove the charcoal canister and rework the brakeline bracket on the driverside. Also, there is a little lip hanging off the front of the upper bracket connected to the axle that holds on the leaf springs. I trimmed that a little as well so there was no interferance. Let me know if you have any questions.
