get on the forum over on the samba, thats your best bet, be sure to post in the right part of the forum as the splitty guys can be pretty harsh on fatchick owners

ill have to check around my garage i know i have a ton of parts from my 69 and 72 that i would like to sell. i know there is a scat shifter in there somewhere and a dual carb setup in there too.

I know JCWhitney has a VW catalog but I don't know how good the parts are...

Thats rad that you got a bug. I have had about 9 or so VW's. You will find anything you need to know on the samba, It is the best site and will link you to all others. You have to come out to Cali. for the vw classic in june. Its the first weekend of june every year and its the big daddy of all the shows on the west coast.
