ok guys i have been doin a little home work on these ranger arms. ive had my 2000 ext cab bagged on djm arms and stock tires with the wheel wells still in it. i have a couple sets of control arms here. and well im working on building a jig. basically what i want to know is what you guys wana see production wise? do you want drop built into the arms like raising the ball joint mounts? do you want adjustable uppers? or do you just wana see modifyed ball joint angles. let me know so i can finnish figureing out where im gona start on these things. i wana have a jig and a prototype set built in the next week or 2. so lets hear the ideas

Built in drop with bag plates and reangle the balljoint.
Adjustable uppers would be cool with balljoint angle changed.
But what do I know mine is laying on stock arms

ya thats what i was thinking. im kinda thinking starting with the lowers moving the balljoint up 2 inches and the flattening out the angle a little but im not sure how much. maybe like 10 degrees? and for the uppers i dont know if they should be like a toyota with the balljoint perpendicular like this 0====I and make them adjustable with threaded rod ends? or if i should make the uppers modified exactly like the lowers 10 deg or what ever and 2 inch drop.

Upper and lower would be good at 0 degree balljoint angle

ya thats what im thinking tinkering around with em and it seems like if i do that there would be over 2 inches of drop built into the arms looks like it anyways. i think it would be center of the balljoint plate to center of the bushing. now to figure out how far to lower the tubes and bag plate lol. also do you think the uppers need to be offset like stock or should both be the same like the djm uppers were there centered

IM NOT TOO SURE ABOUT ALL THE ANGLESAND DEGREES ON THE ARMS -- BUT MINES BODYDROPT ON STOCK ARMS AND THEY WORK FINE -- ALOT OF PEOPLE ARE INTERESTED IN THE ARMS FOR THE FACT THEY DONT WANT THE CAMBER -- I HAVE NO PROBLEM WITH THE CAMBER -- AND MOST PEOPE SIMPLY RAISE THE UPPER TO SOLVE THIS PROBLEM -- BUT IF YOU HAVE AN IDEA THAT WOULD WORK OUT EVEN BETTER -- GO FOR IT AND GOOD LUCK -- MY 2 CENTS !!!

ya raising the upper wouldnt be such a bad problem if it wasnt for that it throws the rack out of alignment and u have to mess with the rack also

how bout making a new engine cradle that doesnt hang down a foot or 5 also spindles that arnt 4 feet tall aslo.

ill get right on it james how bout i just use yota arms and spindles and build a crossmember that bolts in with bag mounts attached and all. well be 1 step closer to being as cool as an s10 haha

tru y not just use a yota frame and throw the ford stuff in the garbage?
