I always wanted a bagged dually so I bought a dually. I canabalized my suburban for the parts I needed. Now here is my problem and I'm looking for input. I have a family of 5 and like to pull a 5th wheel and boat to the lake in the summer. I have a huge stereo I'm not willing to give up. This all needs to go or be towed by the dually. I wanted to cut it to the doors but I sat in it yesterday after getting the drop I needed out of the trad bodydrop(going to go another 4 with sf). My head is like less than 2" from the ceiling. I'm looking for another cab and thinking of making a crew/extended cab but not sure if it will look right. If I build new body mounts I can probably lower the floor. I know I'm just rambling but I got ideas going thru my head and I respect your guys opinion and want to know what you think.

are you setting in the stock seat? if so change seats to set you lower or cut the hump out that the seat mounts to thats what I did and it dropped me about 3.5" and now I'm going to a bucket seat that will set me lower and I made shims for the back seat to raise it up about an inch half. so if my calculations are right my daughter will be able to see over my head

I used a mazda pickup seat I had laying around on the stock hump. I thought if I took that hump out that would help but I will probably have to move the seat back to make it so it's comfortable enough for me(I'm long legged). So that would take away rear leg room. Hence adding the ext. cab portion.

with the datsun oops, I mean nissan seat that I used as a test seat I was streached out like in a corvett and I moved the seat back that was part of the reson to shim the back seat for extra leg room. up works like out

I was thinking about building a new frame work to support the cab out of like 1.5" x 1.5" tubing and putting the mounting points further out closer to the rockers. I thought I could bend up like a z channel out of 1/4" for the new rocker and then use the that for the body mounts. Hard to describe.
