wha do u people think bout the re subwoofers?

ive heard alot of good things about tose subs. they hit hard, deep,handle alot of power, and loud. i also heard there kind of expensive.

They were awsome subs and had a very good price on them. But now they have been bought out by some company over seas (same company that bought US amps) and are being mass produced which, as has been the case with countless other companies, COULD decrease the quality. The guy that started RE isn't really even involved anymore (from what I have heard) and has started his own company called FI audio. The worst part about the ownership swap is the HUGE increase in price like double or even triple now.

Not true. The reason for the price increase is because RE is now selling through dealers. If you buy from a dealer, insted of direct, then you can get a fair price.

And FI is the shit.

What did I say that wasn't true? They have a new owner and the prices have gone up. From what I have heard, you can't buy factory direct anymore unless there is no dealer around you, which has always been the case. They are pretty much forcing you to go to a dealer. Anyway, you can them on woofersetc.com now. So, honestly, if you wanted RE, I would just go to Fi. Just as good (if not better) sub, less money.
