I'm new to the whole truck scene, so forgive me if I am asking a dumb question but,

Is it possible to step up the power a little by taking parts off of a F2T motor and placing them to a regular F2 motor?

IE: taking the turbo and intake manifolds and some other top end parts off a Mazda 626 or an MX-6 and placing them on a stock F2 block.

I belive that the air intake would be facing the firewall if you just swapped the intakes. You have to biuld an intake. Check out b2200gt's profile on here.

you should swap in the whole motor, the pistons on the turbo motor are lower compression which means lower power initially but more room for boost. The intake faces the firewall like Nathan says, you can swap the upper manifold direction like B2200GT did. The exhaust down pipe also will face the front of the truck so you will need a custom one. The distributor will hit the firewall because it is on the rear of the head on an f2t, you will need to cut the firewall to clear. NO you cant use the truck head/distributor, the advance curves are different for turbo/non turbo motors. Physically it will bolt up but you will need to convert the truck to a high pressure fuel system too. A few guys have done it, its not cheap or easy, but it must be fun because they never complain.

Or drop in a ford 2.3 turbo engine. Cheap and VERY easy to work on.
