i would not use regular filler over the primer. there is a product called putty-cote that is finer than regular plastic filler and is made to fix small low spots with out grinding to the metal. if it is a alrge spot thrn i would go ahead an take the primer off with a heave grit. that way you will has the best adheasion

the low spot is about 4 inches long and aboug 1/8 inch deep i filled the dent but i didnt notice that it carried over.

i would pound that out unless you want the filler to crack out

use putty coat not bondo other wise the bondo wont stick to the primer

so it would be better to go on and strip the primer off and lay new filler over the area

hey bro if that came back from the paint shop like that i would grind down the area where the dent is at. your already going to have to reprime it, get it to bare metal and either pull it close and mud it or just mud it. either way you gotta prime it so i would go to bare metal to get he best adhesion. then just spot prime wit a few coats and your set. if you want spot prime and block then prime the whole thing again to make it look uniform. just what i would do is all
