does anyone know where i can get a new bed for my silverado? the local junkyards are asking 2200 buck for them and i think that is a little steep. it doesn't need to be perfect. mine has been beat to hell by thieves and old women who back up to fast. any help is appreciated

http://www.car-part.com

A good locator for used parts. Just put in what you are looking for and the area you are in and hit search. Gives you prices and condition the part is in.

damn seems like those beds should be going down now that the new chevys are coming out, i knew they were always high since the same bed fit a 99 and up, i got my bed for 450 on my ford but i have a friend with a 2000 chevy that was having the same problem with high priced beds

Brand new box from GM goes for $4508.98
Part #12472825. So until the price drops on a new box, the used ones in decent shape will continue to stay outrageous.
