91 s10 rear disc brake conversion question

im curious if the blazer(or anyother) brakes will go on this rear end. its a 10 bolt. OR will i be better off getting a rear end from the junk yard(are they wider/narrower)?

4x4 are wider.. the newer blazers some have disc rears.. there is one in a salvage yard that has a disc rear.. good luck finding them, they arent everywhere, but are findable. range in the 300 and up range.

the axles, etc and all will go in the s10 truck rear end, but easier to switch the whole rear end.

Get the rear brakes off a late model f-body. They will bolt right up, but you will have to get new cables...

hmm late model fbody you say. i dont give a shit bout new e brake cables, the jeep will be with out that bs... new brake lines is not a problem.what year f body, thats camaro right? 94 up?

Get some 11.5" rotors that are the same bolt pattern. Get some 79 Monte Carlo front calipers, and get the flexible lines that go with them (like $50 each with the lines if you can't supply a core). And Speedway motors has some weld on brackets for $10.

f-body is firebird and camaro.. i dont know if the disc setup mounts to the drum rear and i know the f-bodies have a wider width.

when you find something out james, post it.. i was just gonna buy the disc rear from a friend here in ///RA, but i might swap it just using parts.

Hey Potter, you want some parts for a disc brake swap? I've got a rear end that I bought for mine, but I found out the yard pulled a 4WD rear without me knowing...and once you leave it's your's. So I've got calipers, brackets, rotors and all that good stuff I pulled off, just never put it on....LMK

yea im gona look in tothe fbody swap since this is bein built on a TIGHT budget, all i really need is the caliper brackets, ima buy new rotors/calipers anywys...
