i just got my weber 34DGEC. the problem im having is the throttle cable is too short. What can i do short of getting a new throttle cable? the throttle linkage is on the front and the fuel line is on the rear of the carb.

That Weber is a Solex copy, nothing you can do except get a longer cable. The 89-95 toyota truck EFI cable worked for me when I put on my ITB's, it has the same type of attachment on both ends and is about 7 inches longer. If I remember right, you only have to screw down the outside firewall mount to get it to work, I used two self tapping screws and viola! Otherwise it hooked to the mazda pedal and ITB linkage easily. Should work for you too.

If your no longer running the mechanical pump or have a regulator that uses it I would just plug it.
