My question is, how do I step up my rear axle for pinion angle, I am baggin my 83 pup and do I set it up lowered or at ride height and at what angle, please help...

level the truck on jacks and set the rear end up at ride height. get a degree wheel from home depot( like 5 bux) and measure the degree of the output shaft of the trans, it should be around -2 or -3 and the pinion on the rear end shoul;d be around +2 or +3 depending on waht the tranny is u want it matching but both on a parallel plane.

Took me a while to understand the "equal/opposite angles" but this pic helps show what James described:



Ignore the #s, measure the exact angles on your truck.
