I got a indash flipout moniter with dvd shit on it and installed it in my blazer but the guy who installed it said i need 2 switches 2 flip it from dvd 2 normal mode, i was wondering if i could bypass it some how so i wouldnt have to install switches 4 it, sounds weird 2 me so i had 2 ask

you dont have to. persay. If you do it the legal way , which no one really does! On the alpines they need a pulse from the e-brake then the foot break then the e-brake again. I know its stupid but they are tryn to cut back on people driving and watching stuff. What you can do with the switches is wire them up to act as a signal from the ebrake and the footbrake. I do know at one time there was a bypass module selling on ebay, but I havent seen any around in a while

you can buy a piece from pac called a tr7 it costs like $25-$35 you can get it from any of your best buys ,circuit citys etc.... it already comes programed for the alpine bypass.

i'm sure it is totally different, but my old pioneer flip out DVD would work fine if you grounded the wire that was supposed to go to the E-brake

thanks for your help and input guys i appreciate it a lot, we got the twitch to work so everything is all good now but i think i will go check out tr7 and install that and get rid of the switch

actually it needs a hold on the footbrake while you apply the ebrake and then a release on the footbrake...i always hook up the footbrake as it says to but then install a toggle on the wire supposed to go to the ebrake (with the other side of the toggle oing to ground). hold the footbrake, flip the toggle, release the footbrake...vOILA! this is also necessary to go into i-Personalize to set your eqs and monitor settings because hey dont want you doing that going down the road either
