Im in the process of stckflring my 97 ranger. I have the frame built and am building the bodymounts on there. I did the rear yesterday and just used the stock body mounts and cut them to fit right. But hte front body mounts are too big... Its hard to explain. The lower nut on the body mount is about an inch below the frame rail. So do I take the rubber body mount out of the nut side and just leave the body bushing on the top or what?

its easier just to build some mounts out of 2x3 and use gm a body bushings.

I gues my real question is, do the body mounts have to have the rubber on the top and bottom like the stock ones, or just the top?

Yeah, all I did was make my own mounts and buy some busings from a Jeep I believe. They are just standard round busings, works great for me. then again I have not driven the truck yet. Good luck

yea jeep busings will work to. and no they dont have to have rubber on teh bottom, just inbetween the cab and mount.
