rear drive vw

is there a transmission that will bolt to an aircooled motor that is rear drive i am wanting to put one in another vehicle but want to keep it rear drive front motor???? maybe an adapter kit or something???

any ideas would help pleeease

It depends on what you are trying to do with it. If it is a old bug you can buy a adaptor plate or build one (I think fisher buggies carries one)that allows you to have a aircooled in front / 2 speed power glide transmission / ford 9" rear end a few guys ude this for drag racing

yea, i live like 2 miles from fisher and they have all sorts of crazy stuff there. it wouldnt surprise me if they even had an adapter plate for other trannys besides the powerglide.
